A series of three bronze sculptures caught in self-embrace. It captures an intertwined moment between body and object. The object being held is a body pillow, a distorted soft sculptural bust made from the holder’s own body. The embrace meets the deeply familiar yet distorted self, cementing a moment in an attempt to confront the longing of love lost. It plays on human emotional states of connection: being close to someone, coming even closer and being closed.
