Shadi Yasrebi Iran, b. 1989

Biography
Born in 1989, lives and works in Tehran, Iran. Her distinctive calligraphic sculptural assemblages radically reformulated the way landscape is perceived.
She is inspired by the calligraphy's heritage alongside oriental architecture and conceives a body of work based on fragments of ordinary words and scraps of paper: obsessive, rebellious, and contemporary. Utilizes natural or manufactured objects sourced from collecting foray from flyers, woods, and wires to waste cardboards. She brought these "worthless" objects from everyday life into new frames and definitions.
